New Bug Tracker Tonight!
We are replacing the existing bug tracker tonight with a an improved version. Unfortunately we can't migrate the information over so I will do my best to move over any open bugs manually. What is nice about the new bug tracker is the ability to upload attachments. This is great for attaching screen shots or even patch files to help solve bugs. You should also get better notifications about any bugs that you enter into the system. We appreciate your patience while we bring the new system up to speed and if you have any bugs to enter, please save them for later tonight (after 8pm pacific time) and put them into the new bug tracker. Thanks.

New User Agreement
We have been getting TONS of complaints about forum spam for everything from training classes, to cheap hardware, to potency enhancing pills. We did not actually have anything in the user agreement stating that this was not allowed even though we have been enforcing it for a long time. We have added this to the user agreement so that we have grounds to remove posts deemed as forum spam.

CE 2.6.1 Nears Release
Today we have released the RC1 of the upcoming 2.6.1 release which we feel is going to be the best version of trixbox ever released. Not only does it seem to be rock solid, we have also made TONS of improvements in the visual look, making it feel like a much more cohesive product rather than a mashup of other projects. The look still isn't perfect but it is leaps and bounds ahead of where it has been.

Announcing trixbox Pro 2.0
Since the release of trixbox Pro we have done several updates, added some new features, and fixed some bugs. trixbox Pro 2.0 is a major improvement in features and hardware support that people have been asking for since we launched 1.0. For complete information, please visit http://trixbox.com, in the meantime I am going to talk about my favorite features.
Calendar Based Scheduling – All Editions
In TBPro 1.0, you could do a basic weekly schedule to setup day and night times, but if you wanted something for a particular calendar day, it just wasn't possible. With TBPro 2, you can now do both daily and calendar based scheduling. Pre-program you whole year's worth of holidays if you want.
Night Mode – All Editions
trixbox Pro 2.0 now has a function code to switch between day and night modes for companies that don't have set schedules and open when the first person arrives and close when the last person leaves.
More Supported Phones! – All Editions
One of the biggest complaints about TBPro has been the limited number of fully supported phones. With TBPro 2 this number has grown quite a bit. trixbox Pro adds support for the Aastra 51i, 53i, 55i, 57i, and 57i CT and the Polycom 320, 330, 550, 560, and 650.
Hands Free Auto Provisioning – All Editions
This is one of the coolest features I have seen in a long time, with any Aastra phone (or Polycom if you have DHCP option 66 setup) you simply plug the phone into your network and a new phone device in trixbox Pro will be created and a new extension will be created with the next available extension number assigned to it. While this feature was rolled in during the last release, I feel it is worth mentioning again.
BLS (Busy Lamp Field) Support – All Editions
If you are using an Aastra phone or sidecar with BLF support you can now use your Company Directory within the trixbox Pro control panel to configure your BLF setup for your individual phone.
FindMe – EE/CCE
Let me say that although I am the "CE Guy", I run trixbox Pro on my system that runs our house, the main reason is the FindMe feature in trixbox Pro 2.0. To see just how cool our new FindMe function is, I even created a short tutorial about it, you can view the tutorial at: http://www.trixbox.org/wiki/tbp-user-portal. Beyond just having the FindMe options, we have complete pass-thru from the phone system so keys to record calls and transfer calls still work. You want more? How about call screen on your extension? Make the caller state their name and the system will play it back to you so you can decide to take the call or now.
Call Center Edition updates
If you do call barging, you can now go to your CDR reports and get reports about your barged calls.
