Backup Module Beta 2

The beta 2 of the backup module is now available in the Beta repo. This fixes some bugs and some potential security issues (thanks Jason!). We really need some more feedback on this before we can release it to the general public so please help us test this out.

Wondering why I dont see the Backup Module in the Beta Repo

I am running Packages Version: 2.6.1.2 and can see tbm-backup 2.6.2-14 (installed) from trixbox repo and also 2.6.1-8 in the trixbox repo.

I have the trixbox beta repo enabled in the repositories screen, but I dont see any tbm-backup modules from the beta repo.

Can someone suggest how I refresh the download perhaps, or suggest what I need to do to see the beta tbm-backup module ?

Regards
Rich

We pulled the module for a

We pulled the module for a short period of time to fix a security issue, it should be back there now. If not, type yum clean all from the command line.

Backup Problem

I loaded the new backup Beta and found I just got a blank page when selecting it from the menu. I then removed the Beta and loaded the old backup module and this gives an error message

Page Not Found

Found the Problem

Removed old module again and updated to new module. Same thing error on page using IE7. Tried Firefox and it runs fine. There is a similar problem with PBX Status under PBX, sometimes this module fails with IE7 but is fine with Firefox.

Firefox don't work either

I am having same issue.

I loaded new version, and it won't open in firefox 3.0 or IE 7

Any new info on this?

I am working on the issues

I am working on the issues with IE7 (its a problem related to the new appcelerator framework we are using).

The issues with PBX status are fixed in the latest release (also should be way faster).

Beta Report

From the command line I ran
yum --enablerepo=trixboxbeta install tbm-backup
which installed version 2.6.2-16
Then tried to visit the backup page and I got the following...

"The requested URL /maint/modules/backup/backup.php was not found on this server."

And indeed that php file is not there...

then did a yum erase tbm-backup, and a yum --enablerepo=trixboxbeta install tbm-backup once again to re-install and same problem...
Then I query the package and I don't see backup.php
bash# rpm -q -l tbm-backup
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/ackbroker.php
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/backup.tpl
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/configModule.php
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/controllers
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/controllers/backup.php
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/controllers/backup_cron.php
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/controllers/index.php
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/images
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/images/ajax-loader.gif
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/images/backup.png
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/images/barS.jpg
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/module.xml
/var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/tables.sql

yum erase tbm-backup, then yum install tbm-backup (without enable beta) and that installed 2.6.1-8 the current stable backup, and that package does have backup.php included and seems to work fine. The current stable version is over 370k and the beta is only 24k. Is the RPM in the beta repo complete? Or missing files?

Now that original tbm-backup is working, I turn on beta repo for gui package manager, and install the beta update and get the same results. I do notice the following line from the update which was always there, but I didn't think it was important...

Updating : tbm-backup ######################### [1/2]Backups directory exists so not creating it.

So I yum erase tbm-backup, then rm -r /var/www/html/maint/modules/backup and re-install. I again get "Backups directory exists so not creating it." I yum erase, remove that backup folder again, as well as /var/lib/trixbox/backups, and install again... I still get "Backup directory exists" on the install, and I still get the missing backup.php error when I try to go to the backup page. Uninstall the beta, re-install the stable and everything back to the way it was.

And that is my beta report.

P.S. This server was installed 3 days ago from a 2.6.1 ISO CD and a FULL yum update was ran to update all CentOS and trixbox packages. Then today I tried this beta test. There are no extensions setup etc... But I don't think that should matter. The stable tbm-backup works and when I do a full backup it produces a 22 MB tar.gz file even though I don't have anything setup yet. Which I found interesting... :-)

Is this still being worked on

Is this still being worked on? I can get the backup module 2.6.2 to load but then I am not able to see options displayed after selecting the backup name. I have just performed a clean install running version 2.6.1.10 of Trixbox and a full yum update. I have tried Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Thanks
