OOH323 vs OH323 - used with Efficient Networks SB510
OK - Im looking for some help here, if possible. Im using the SB510 - which is essentially the same as the Solphone GW-3004. I know it is junk, but unfortunately there is not another option available at this time. For those not familiar, the SB510 is a h323 4 port FXS. It is currently up and running on AAH v 1.5 with OH323 with no problems, so I know I am not have a hardware issue.
(Side note: It is rumored there is software to upgrade the SB510 from H323 to SIP. If anyone has this software please let me if you can give me a copy to upgrade this box, since that would solve the problem. Thanks!)
I have installed trixbox on another machine which previously had AAH 1.5. I followed the direction in the other post to move the ooh323.conf file, and the OOH323 channel now loads.
The configurations are slightly different of course between OOH323 and OH323. I have made what appears to be all the changes that should be required. I can post the config if needed.
I set up an extension using a dial string that is equiv to "101@192.168.1.1:1720." This *should* call ext 101 at the IP of the SB510, port 1720. When calling from another port of the SB510 or an SIP phone, the * CLI show the call is being dialed - but it never rings through to the SB510.
Calling from the sb510 to an SIP extension results in the SIP extension ringing, but when I pick up the SIP extension the call is never connected - the SIP extension stops ringing (of course) when picked up, but the SB510 extension continues to ring as if the SIP has not been answered.
Also - from the SB510 none of the * internal tests work, such as the echo test.
It seems like a codec issue, but I have tried every available codec with basically the same results. The SB510 works flawless on AAH1.5.
I have tried reinstalling, installing OH323 (never got OH323 to show up in the channel list of *), different codecs, reconfiguring the .conf file, and reconfiguring the SB510 - all to no avail.
Any ideas, please??
Thanks,
Blade
I had the SB510 working (marginally) with Trixbox 1.1. I have to recompiled all the ooh323 stuff after any Trixbox or Yum updates to keep it working.
I'm not wild about the SB510 anyway. I'll be curious to see how the new Granstream device pans out once it has some hours of use with the community. I was an early adopter of the GXP-2000 and won't go through all that beta stuff again with this device.
