*98 Not Working

Hi, I recently went to check the voice mail on my system using *98, which is currently enabled and configured as default (*98) in the system. However, when I dial *98 from any phone on my system I get a fast busy signal. I can call any voice mailbox and it picks up with no issues so I know the voice mail system is working. I've turned DMTF on and off for my analog phones (recommendation in other forums) without any success. Has anyone come across this issue before?

Thank you.

I have encountered that

I have encountered that particular problem before. What i did is change *98 to something else. Once i did that i was able to get to voicemail on my newly asssigned key code.

Not too sure why default *98 works, but just change it something else and it should work.

This is a good case for ...

This is a good case for having a softphone, such as X-Lite, running on one of your PCs.

You need to determine whether the issue is with your phones, the ATA adapter or card, or a configuration problem with the PBX. The softphone will help 'prove' where to focus your attention.
