Fresh install of Trixbox CE - Issue with multiple extensions on a phone

Hi all,

A week ago I installed Trixbox 2.6.0.7 using a brand new server, replacing our old Trixbox 2.4 server. I took the config from our previous installation and migrated it over to the new box. I've noticed a few minor issues with our Cisco 7971-GE phones after the upgrade.

The main issue we're having is that if a phone has two extensions which are in the same Queue, and one of the extensions is in use, Trixbox will not ring the other extension in that queue. I've tried rebooting the phones, still the same issue.

The TFTP config files for each phone has not changed - I copied over the TFTP directory on the old Trixbox server in its entirety.

Please let me know what I can help provide in order to troubleshoot this further. Thanks in advance!

There isn't any major differences between the two versions that would cause a phone to behave differently. My first recommendation is to not have two extensions on one phone, that seems like a problem just waiting to happen anyway.

Hi Kerry, Thanks for the

Hi Kerry,

Thanks for the response. The reason we have multiple extensions on a phone is so that if our receptionist has someone on hold, she can pick up another extension in that queue.

Is there a better way to do this?
