Linksys spa941 issues when transferring calls

When we transfer calls using the linksys 941, the other caller thinks we hung up on them since there is dead silence until the other party picks up. How can I get the ringing to work? Or at least let it play music on hold?

Thanks

back when we used the

back when we used the linksys phones 941 and 942, we never had to do anything special to get the moh to kick in while doing a transfer using trix 2.2 branch, and freepbx 2.4. That feature worked on those phones for that version and all previous versions of trix that we used. Not sure which you are using, but it really should work out of the box. Does your moh work otherwise?

This is on a trixbox 2.2

This is on a trixbox 2.2 system. We push the xfer button on the phone and the caller hears music. Then we enter the extension # to transfer the call, and there's dead silence until someone else, or Voicemail, picks up the call. The caller usually thinks we hung up on them.
