Migration from v2.2.12 to

Hi,
We are currently running TrixBox v2.2.12.
Tonight, I plan to download the latest version trixbox CE 2.6.0.7 and install it.
How can I migrate the complete setup (config files etc etc) to the new server ?
Will I be able to restore the backup tar.gz created on v2.2.12?
Are there any special precautions I must take be aware of.
Anyone completed such migration, please advice.
