Hi all,

Is it possible to have a single Trixbox installation that houses multiple customers? And, is it possible for each customer to have the same extensions? For example, customer A and customer B both want extension 201 - is this possible?

Thanks!

No, that is not possible.

No, that is not possible. FreePBX needs some pretty big changes for this to become a reality.

Seems like you are looking

Seems like you are looking for "multiple tenant" support. My question is, why not have separate servers for this? If you are looking for a very large scale hosted PBX solution, then I don't think asterisk/freepbx in their current states will handle your needs.

Short answer is NO as KodaK

Short answer is NO as KodaK says, but what is your goal here? If we are talking about a small setup wit say 3 tennants and about 4-8 extensions per tennant you can almost pull this off using custom contexts for FreePBX. If you accept that the customers have x201 and y201 as extensions. Could this be a way to go or is your setup much bigger? I would think this is doable with larger setups as well depending on the hardware and the ammount of simultaneous calls..

multiple tenant cost money

4PSA Voipnow is a easy way to go "multiple tenant"
spend as little as $ 500.00 for 50 extens (extens are ques / ivr and all that)
reseller support / client plans Blah blah..

http://www.4psa.com/index.php?pcat=products&pag=4psavoipnow

And a BIG plus is that 4PSA under OPENVZ works great
( $ 1,000.00 hint: 4psa has a zaptel rpm for the host box)

The free version lacks IVR and other options
the pro can be used for free with 2 exten's

Hi all, Thanks for the

Hi all,

Thanks for the responses. We have customers that have anywhere between 5 and 15 extensions, and we were trying to find a way to consolidate the number of servers in our DataCenter. Since Trixbox doesn't work well with VMWare-like setups, we were trying to think of an alternative.

It just makes more sense to dedicate a single box to each customer by your responses. Thanks again!
