This isn't difficult to do

This isn't difficult to do at all, but how much do you know and how much have you done so far? Do you have it installed on a machine? Did you set up your viatalk trunk on your system yet? Does viatalk allow multiple channels?

If I refer to any modules

If I refer to any modules you don't have installed, just install them from "module admin."

Basically, all you need to do is:

1) record your greeting in "System Recordings"

2) set up an IVR that uses the recording you made in step 1, put in your options.

3) set up an inbound route to point to that IVR.

There are multiple ways to send a call to an outside destination. One way is to make a misc destination to PHONENUMBER# and send the IVR option to that misc destination.

Let's get you past the first few steps first, though. Get a basic IVR set up, then you can start adding more options.

I am trying to implement

I am trying to implement something like this each will call transfer to an outside number and their own voicemail if the outside line(cellphone) does not pickup.
"Thank you for calling The Widget Company, where 'Widgets Are Our Only Business'. Visit us on the web at www.widget.com. If you know the extension of the person you wish to reach, you may dial it at any time. Otherwise, please choose from one of the following options. For sales, press '1'. For customer service, press '2'. For purchasing or accounting, press '3'. For technical support, press '4'. If you would like company information such as hours of operation and location, press '5'. Otherwise, press '0', or stay on the line, and a member of our staff will assist you shortly. Thank you for calling the Widget Company."

So far my incoming route is picking up and here is my setting:
Description: Inbound1
DID number:
CallerID Number:
privacy: yes
set destination:
main menu (which my recording).

IVR !!

That's what the IVR modules function is. In FreePBX do you have IVR module installed?

If you do then there will be an IVR button on the left hand side of the screen.

IVR = Interactive Voice Response

This module can do everything you want and more.

Have fun.
