New Switch causing Jitter??
We are using TB1.2.3 and 4 Snom 190 phones with only PSTN over a TDM400P. Since we only had 4 phones, I was able to set this up with a small Linksys switch with only one uplink to our computer network (for FreePBX admin). This setup has been rock solid for 2 years or so. Love it.
But now we're adding 3 more Snom 190 phones downstairs, so I had to ditch the Linksys switch and buy a 16 port switch. Here's what I got:

All phones and the TB run directly into this new switch and there's one uplink to the rest of our computer network (again, so I can use FreePBX).
I don't know if it's the new switch or adding the 3 phones, but we now have a broken voice or jitter issue on all outgoing voice, all phones. The incoming audio is flawless but outgoing gets choppy, so I'm guessing the new switch (or how it talks to the Snom 190s) is the culprit.
Can anyone tell me just looking at the switch's specs (link above) if there's a problem with the switch?
TIA,
Steve
What was the model of the Linksys. Perhaps the Linksys had QoS features this new switch doesn't have.
If you pull the uplink to the rest of the network, does the jitter go away.
If you put the linksys back in to service the TB and as many phones as you can, then uplink the new switch to service the remaining phones, does the problem still occur on all phones, or just the ones on the new switch?
