New to Trixbox
I have recently changed to a new provider. Our old provider were not very reliable during peak hours, in fact we couldn't make any calls before about 7pm mountain time.
I, nor my new provider, seem to be able to get the new trunks set up. Here is my current situation, that is beside apparently needing a new provider.
At the suggestion of my new provider I have upgraded to the latest release of Trixbox which includes Trixbox 2.6.0.18, Asterisk 1.4.19.2-1, FreePBX 2.4.0, because we could not get his trunks working. After the upgrade I am in the same situation, here it is:
I have an incoming 800 number trunk, which works. We also have a domestic long distance line which I use a prefix of 9 to access which worked good until we tried to add an outgoing international line, prefix 7, which works some of the time, but only for domestic calls.
To top this off, my local extensions, which worked fine with all of our providers before and up until I upgraded, half of them will not work. They register, but are not accessible. Two of them are local extensions, but located in Australia, and the other two are located here locally. Also, when I call into the system it goes to the IVR, but when I call in and enter the extension it does nothing.
I know I need a new provider, but in the mean time if any body can help I would be happy to open a dialog.
Thanks,
Richardk
Well first 2.6.0.18 is a beta release.
You mentioned so many problems it is hard to setup. To me honest I don't even have a picture of your trunk configuration.
You did not mention a thing about what type of phones you are using. You also mentioned remote extensions without discussing your network configuration. How did you do the upgrade? What previous version of trixbox where you running?
I would also suggest reading this post:
