No sound from server, although calls and MOH work fine...

Fresh install of Trixbox... calls work fine and sound great, as does music on hold. No sounds from server at all. Voicemail "connects" but there's no sound. *60 and the other server features have no sound.
I've redownloaded the sounds from asterisk.org and verified their ownership as asterisk:asterisk.
Suggestions?
NO.... no need for a reinstall

I had this problem - you probably have an unconfigured zaptel card in your box. Do you have a Digium, Sangoma, or other card installed? If it happens again - remove it, restart the server - I bet your sounds start working. This one drove me nuts..... The reinstall probably fixed whatever the bug is - but next time you will know what to do...
