Problem with the NIC of the server

Hello,
I just installed a new trixbox on a server. This server offers 2 onboard NIC ports.
Both NIC modules are loaded into the kernel on boot (module e100 and module e1000).
But for some reasons, the network does not always come up on boot.
The modules are loaded, but there ist none of the NIC if I make a ifconfig.
Than, an other boot, both NICs are there (eth0 and eth1).
No I ask myself, why?
Does anyone know this issue?
