Queue vs Ring roup (Queue Agent Timeout/Failover)

Hello,

I am currently in the process of replacing a ring group with a queue (due to the limitations created because of the way ring groups are handled). For the most part the queue is working perfectly, the only problem if that it dosent switch over to the failover when the Agent Timeout is reached.

At the moment I am using the Max Wait Time to send the calls to failover, but I need more control over the timeout time, ie Max Wait Time can only be set in 30 second increments, with a minimum tie of 30 seconds.

I would like to be able to failover based on the Agent Timeout time as it can be set in seconds, though other suggestions on how to achieve this are more than welcome.

All agents for the queue are static.

Any help is greatly appriciated.

I am having the exact same

I am having the exact same problem. I have retry set to 2 seconds and agent timeout set to 15 seconds. However, After the phone rings 15 seconds it just keeps retrying instead of going to voice mail.

How can i set the call coming out of the queue that is ringing the phone to failover to voice mail after rininging the phone for x seconds. I have set the correct voicemail extension in the queue failover. It just doesnt trigger the fail over event.

I found this article that

I found this article that sheds some insight into the problem:
http://astrecipes.net/index.php?from=42&q=astrecipes/understandin...

If I am understanding it correctly, you can pass the n flag to the queue to stop all "retries". then the agent timeout should not get reset and it will failover to the next event set.

However, I am not sure how to pass the n value with freepbx.

Anyone have any insight?
