trixbox 2.4.1 - 2.6.18-53.1.4.el5PAE missing sdladrv.ko and wanpipe.ko drivers

When setting trixbox 2.4, I had a problem when running setup-sangoma. I than traced the calls and find out that sdladrv.ko and wanpipe.ko were missing for the default PAE kernel.
but they exist for the regular kernel under
/lib/modules/2.6.18-53.1.4.el5/kernel/drivers/net/wan
The "wan" directory and these 2 drivers are missing under
/lib/modules/2.6.18-53.1.4.el5PAE/kernel/drivers/net/
Switching the boot kernel fixed my problem but
Shouldn't both kernel have the same drivers?
