Wake-up Call Missing
On my TrixBox server there used to be a wake-up call feature accessed by dialling *62. Very useful, so much so that I've retired my alarm clock. However, I've just trashed my server and reinstalled it with TrixBox v2.6 and now the *62 feature is missing. It doesn't appear in the Feature Codes page and when I dial the number, I get "That feature is not available on this line" for all my phones, both SIP and ZAP. Has this feature been removed? How to I re-enable it?
Thanks,
Tim Long
Kodak is most likely correct, but to answer your question, the feature was removed by the trixbox team because... well, I'm not sure why exactly... but I'm sure it was for a perfectly good reason... most likely. I have no idea how to re-enable or reinstall it. I just know they removed it.
It's hard to charge myself by the hour. I quess I could ad it to my room rates. Next time you travel let me know and I'll make sure to give back to you as you have giving to me. Of course don't rely on my wakeup call service for I installed it manually. Thanks Kerry for all you do.
I found this here :
http://www.freepbx.org/trac/browser/contributed_modules/release/w...
which basically allows you to :
- download the tgz file to your PC
- use the freepbx option to add (upload) a local module
- upload the module, then in module admin, set the wakeupmodule to install, click the process button
- it will create an extra entry on the feature codes page
- and when you dial *62 on your phone, it seems to work again...
until ... I try to set a wakeup time :
I enter the time, select am or pm, then I get the "lady" in trixbox telling me "something is terribly wrong) ?
anyone who has better luck as my (or knows how to workaround this) let me know

Kerry, we don't all bill by the hour. Support organizations that charge by the hour are becoming extinct. There is an upswell of companies providing managed services for a fixed monthly cost. The big boys are starting to cotton on to this business model too, and customers seem to prefer it because it eliminates the fundamental conflict of interests that hourly billing creates ("you do a better job, you earn less"). ICT companies who rely on things going wrong are going to start losing their customers in the coming years.
I have been preaching the managed services model since I arrived on the forums.
Our company charges a flat rate for each phone that includes adds/changes/moves and 3 hour SLA's on time to repair for total outages.
We don't sell the server it's simply a managed service point for us to deliver services. This is all bundled with our ITSP services.
The only thing we are tweaking is how to charge for custom configurations of IVR's queues and the like.
Before anybody asks our services are only available in Ohio (Lorain, Summit and Cuyahoga Counties)

I already mentioned this a few days, maybe a week ago in another forum that had the same subject but will go into it again, we use wakeups with not problems.
But then I DID re-write the wakeup call AGI script to work how we wanted it, well so it actually worked, as the script its based on didnt work as it should.
I am using it on the first version release of 2.6 with no problems (yet to update to the latest 2.6 TB release), and I am happy to give back to the community, just drop me an email. jscoulter@gmail.com and I will see what I can do to help you get it going.
