Percy....

No Offense, but your Member Since:2007-04-30 isn't exactly confidence inspiring. I worry about and have seen too many times: People getting over their heads and therefore not spreading a good impression of Asterisk in general.

Please don't take this the wrong way. It is just that owning one company type doesn't indicate anything as a telephony integrator.

Maybe...Just maybe I am full of shit too ;)

It sounds like he has plenty

It sounds like he has plenty of Asterisk/Telecom experience. It's nice to have the FtOCC but let's face it there are a lot of tough questions being answered by people in this forum that have not been to FtOCC training. The Boston training was good if your just starting out but an advance course would be great. If you have been working with Asterisk or Asterisk@home for a couple years than more than qualified to install a TrixBox system.
This distro's come along way, great job Kerry, Andrew and the Fonality team!

By the way anyone needing help in Maine, New Hampshire drop us a line.

I haven't been through the

I haven't been through the Ftocc, but I've installed asterisk on many an occasion. I've also installed PRIs and A Few DS-3s through a Cisco Router and SIP. I have 3 businesses all currently running on Asterisk Exclusively.

I've installed Nortel Option 11c Systems
I've installed 3com NBX Systems
I've done work with both Data and Voice T-1s and Analog with Channelbanks.

You're right.. I haven't been a member long, because I never considered the Trixbox platform viable as a production platform until just recently. Why don't you check out some of the posts I've posted to the forums. I've done nothing but help where ever I can and I'd like to think that my posts aren't "full of fluff"..

I've also designed 2-3 large call centers for Insurance Agencies (Health) in New York.

So I'd like to think I'm qualified. As for the Ftocc, when I get around to going to one (I was on the fence about the Boston due to time constraints) I will go, but now is my busy season so the answer is no.. I'm not Ftocc Certified.

I can definitely tell you I don't feel I'm getting in over my head with this stuff and my CV and reputation more than prove it.

Let me pose another question.. How many Ftocc certified trixbox engineers have ever installed a DS-3 or a channel bank? or know how to use a T-bird? I can.

As for IP and Enterprise systems experience.. I've got over 10 years of if we were just looking at pure years. If you wanna talk man-hours.. it's a helluva lot more.

I have no idea why you guys are all jumping on me for advertising for business. If you like, I can take my participation in the forums and business elsewhere. Just let me know.

none taken.. I was just a little surprised to get jumped on by so many people over a little advertising on the job boards.. lol.. + my day with the construction company was a little busier than usual.

I have a construction company (full blown GC with an HVAC arm) + 18 employees as my primary business and it was hot out today (85-86 F) so the phones rang off the hook for AC service.

Let's just say.. it was one of those days.. heh.. you are right though.. I'm new with trixbox, but no stranger to Asterisk, Linux, and Telecom.

ya know.. it's kinda funny

ya know.. it's kinda funny when people find out about all my businesses. They give me this weird look and think i'm full of it until they get to know me. Afterwards realizing..Geez.. This guy's into everything. For me, it's mentally stimulating. I guess you could say I'm an entrepreneur at heart. My prior life in management consulting led me to learn about quite a few businesses (some of which I'm in today). I keep myself busy running businesses. heh. Well.. if you have any HVAC or general construction questions, ping me :)

I know it sounds weird, but General Construction, Enterprise Technology, High End Home Theatre Design and Installation, Telecommunications, and Computers are all in the process of merging. So it just makes sense to be in all of these businesses for me. Smart Homes, Smart Buildings, Smart Telephony. Even HVAC controls are going online.. and personally, if i (my company) can get paid $300.00 per hour with a 4 hour minimum for controls work, I'll take it.. ;)
