Hi All,
I need some input from you guys and possibly paid help. Here is description of what I need to get done.

I need to develop an application like simple IVR where caller will enter/say account number & password and then will do DB retrieval and play back information using TTS.

- Must use Windows 2003 server (not Linux)
- Use industry standard Speech Recognition Engines for ASR like Nuance,Lumenvox.
- Use industry standard TTS Engine like Nuance RealSpeak,Vocalizer.
- MySQL database

Does anyone know if Asterisk is well supported on Wondows and can be considered to develop applications as described above ? There will big flowchart and lot of database & other work and at this point I'm not in mood to move to Linux environment.

thanks

Hi trintrin leave it for

Hi trintrin

leave it for trixbox or asterisk on windosw, maybe you can consider using a virtual machine on windows 2003 server, that's possible.

Asterisk does not run

Asterisk does not run natively on Windows. If you need an application like that you will need to look into the microsoft communications server or learn how to do it in Linux.

I can develop it for your in

I can develop it for your in Linux, Asterisk, and the LumenVox speech engine with the Cepstral tts engine, but you will not be able to accomplish this under Windows using said technology. Even with a virtual machine, the quality will be unacceptable. So your options are Linux or a commercial environment. Linux will be cheaper by a factor of 5.

Contact me directly if interested.

Thanks for reply but still not sure

Thanks all for reply. I was looking around & googling , found another giant out there...FreeSWITCH. It seems they do support on Windows and also integrate all TTS & ASR Engines via MRCP. Anyone has tried FreeSwitch, any feedback?

thanks

Freeswitch is making

Freeswitch is making progress, though I doubt you'll find many experienced inexpensive developers to work with, especially in regards to speech applications integrated via MRCP on a Windows platform.
