488 Error putting on hold

Have a GXP2000 at a remote location everything seems to work fine but when you put a call on hold you get error "488 not acceptable try different vocoder" and then hangs up have tried change the phone to use another instead of PCMU " WEBGUI" and it always show that it's using PCMU even when i have changed it.... please help
