Automated Outbound Call Notification System

Is there a way to use Asterisk as an outbound call notification system?

This would be similar to wake up calls but an admin could record a message and have the system call a list of phone numbers. This application would be used in place of the old fashion phone tree.

Any help is much appreciated.

You can start with this.

Voicemail Outbound Notification

Should be just a matter of modifying a few of the parts. Like having it play a message rather than send the called person to voicemail access. Also you could still just dial a *26 or whatever and record the message and then enter the numbers to be dialed. Let me know if you get stuck.

You might want to try TeleYapper from Nerd Vittles or the Telephone Reminder System.

Thanks! TeleYapper looks like exactly what we need. It says it works with A@H 2.5, but does not mention if it works with TrixBox.

yes it works with TB.. I use it all the time.

I use it too. I just can't get the log to be emailed to me. Did you get the logs to be emailed?
