How to forward an inbound call to another asterisk box via trunk

Just come up against something I have not done yet. I need to take an inbound call based on DiD and redirect it to another asterisk box via an existing iax2 trunk without operator intervention.

Can this be done from the FreePBX web console ?

Yes. Assuming you already have direct dialing between the two systems going:

1) create a misc destination that points to an extension (or DID) at the remote end.

2) in the inbound route for the incoming DID in question, make that misc destination the destination.

I'm sure there a lots of other ways too.
