International calls/multiple trunks... if I'm in the US, can I use a UK service provider for lower rates...?

We're a small business located in the US, we need to cut down on our international phone bills.

If I got with a SIP provider (VoicePulse for instance) I get decent USA rates, and reasonable UK rates... but not as long as I'd like for UK rates.

Could I sign up with a UK IAX/SIP VoIP provider and then get low-cost UK rates by dialing outgoing UK calls through the UK provider, and USA calls through the USA provider?

What is required with Asterisk/Trixbox for setting up things so that it routes things down a different trunk when I call USA vs UK numbers?

Thanks!

Yes. You make the trunks,

Yes. You make the trunks, you make outgoing routes. Route #1's dial plan will be 1NXXNXXXXXX and points to the USA trunk. Route #2's dial plan will be 01144. And/or 011. , and it will work like that. Point route #2 to the international trunk
