Good day all,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of setting up trixbox and speech server 2007 to work together.

I wish to be able to register my phones to a PBX and then dial my speech server (I have to do it this way as my phones do not support sip over tcp) to get this working I have been using PBXNSIP and that’s fine but for the number of extensions I need it gets very expensive.

Has anyone got trixbox working with speech server?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards, SOSAGES

Have you looked at VAIL TIM

After a little bit of reading, it doesn't look like Speech Server supports direct SIP. Everything they talk about is the calls being routed through a TIM (Telephony Integration Manager). Apparently that is what they are calling the service that transcodes the call from whatever format you are coming from to what format it needs.

The Vail Systems TIM is the one that they say is used to support SIP. It's approx $200 a port and sold in 24 port increments. At least this is what I found online.

I look forward to hearing more about it from you. It looks like a pretty cool product, and being a windows mobile junky with their voice command, I will say, it's pretty good. I know that you might also want to look at lumenvox. It is a highly spoken about Linux app that is talked about in a lot of the forums on here.
