Occasional Beeping

Lots of times over the past few weeks, while I am on the phone (random people) I hear a DTMF tone being pressed followed by a short beep. The beep that proceeds the DTMF tone is not a DTMF beep. At first this wasnt bothering me but now it is becoming annoying.
This is over a sip trunk. I dont use FXO/FXS cards.
I added to my teliax trunk, relaxdtmf=yes
trixbox 2.6 asterisk 1.2.19
Will relaxdtmf=yes help here? If not, what can be done? Anyone else experiencing this issue?

It's called falsing. The DTMF decoder algorithm in the providers gateways mistakes voice band information for the DTMF tone pair and regenerates the tones to your endpoint.
Besides yelling at your provider I am not sure what you can do about it.
