I am thinking about getting an A1200P card from openvox, What does anyone think of these cards? Are they as good as the Digium Cards? Are they easy to setup in 2.4.2, or am I just wasting my money?

Thanks

I used a couple about a year

I used a couple about a year ago - the volume was low, adjusting rx/tx didnt bring it up enough.

Head ache free = get a Sangoma A200 or Rhino.

Purchase a Sangoma with HWEC

Purchase a Sangoma with HWEC and be done with it. They are amazing (never could get Rhino cards to work correctly, whereas Sangomas "Just Work".

Depends on how you use

Depends on how you use it.

If you use with SoftEcho or OSLEC, the volume is not a issue.

We are sure it is not bad than any non-hw EC cards, But if you belive in that H/W EC will be better, Just use them.

Anyway, you can get your money back if you are not feel good with them.

Good for a test box

I have one I use in my test box and seems to work ok. But I tried to put it in a production box and it just did not cut it. Never could quite solve the Echo problems this customer had. Ended up replacing it with a Rhino card that worked great. Did not know Rhino was made in America. Open vox is from China.

Thinking about made in China, I got a laugh a few months ago when I went onto the OpenVox website. They talk of how the cards are lead free. I know there is allot of concern about lead in Chinese toys but who is going to give a circuit card to a kid as a toy? Makes you onder if they make toys and Open Vox cards in the same factory.

Lead free is a disposal issue, not a consumption issue

Some states are trying to crack down on lead disposal - mostly in electronics.

Of course, given how smart kids are today, I'd love to give 'em circuit boards as toys .

OpenVox A400

I had testing a Trixbox Pro Call Center Edition with OpenVox A400, and works fine, the only issue was the echo but i set the echo menu in TXPro CCE and works good.
Did any test Trixbox Pro and OpenVox with OSLEC or Octasic Softhecho?

Can't beat the prices for testing

I found a website that I bought a cuople of Openvox cards for testing multiple Trixbox setups. I have had no problems and the prices were better than any other cards out there. I know...you get what you pay for, but these worked really nicely for me. The site was www.blujay.com/bullzeye

It's nice to see OpenVox

It's nice to see OpenVox people on this forum as well. Welcome Miaolin!

I think Rhino and Sangoma are needing some competition to start cutting costs. They're simply way overpriced. Have a good reputation for quality though.

For example, Sangoma charges $20-30 for a backplane. Come on?! Have you seen this piece of hardware? I bet the production costs is not even a dollar! Sorry for being so direct, but that's just ridiculous.

You guys are really needing some of the "chinese medicine".

For those that would say the

For those that would say the primo card brands are overpriced, I would urge you to consider the importance of a quality TDM card in your system, the longevity of the card (Sangoma warranty is now a no-questions-asked lifetime transferrable warranty), and the support issues you may have with less expensive brands.

I will say, though, that the few OpenVox cards we have out there have actually performed better than some of other cards we have used in the long-ago past.
