Stuck with a 2.2.x load? Upgrade to Asterisk 1.4!

I had two machines in the field that were having problems with DTMF and Bandwidth.com trunks, and I couldn't get out to where they were to just upgrade the box to 2.6, so I wrote this up as a temporary solution - if you HAVE to have it now, I have tried this on 4 different machines in production, and it is stable and works well with the following exceptions:
1) No NVFax (which is a HUGE drawback to me - but since the customers were using Bandwidth.com trunks, they weren't using the feature anyway)
2) Statistics on the Home Page (/maint) look funny.
Really though, schedule a visit to upgrade them to 2.6 as soon as you can - this is definately the HARD way to do it.
