Recently I installed T400P card on Trixbox CE 2.4.2 and looks like the card is working fine.
So far I haven't connected my PRI. Just did a initial test using RJ45 connector ( You can Connect 1 to pin 4 and pin 2 to pin 5 )
When you connect the connector your SPAN enabled port LED will turn GREEN.
Following are some of my observations:

CLI> pri show span 1
Primary D-channel: 24
Status: Provisioned, In Alarm, Down, Active ( Note: if you connect the loopback connector the status will turn UP instead of DOWN)
Switchtype: National ISDN
Type: CPE
Window Length: 0/7
Sentrej: 0
SolicitFbit: 0
Retrans: 0
Busy: 0
Overlap Dial: 0
T200 Timer: 1000
T203 Timer: 10000
T305 Timer: 30000
T308 Timer: 4000
T309 Timer: -1
T313 Timer: 4000
N200 Counter: 3

===============================
I used genzaptelconf command to autoconfigure my ZAPTEL Card.
The moment I typed this command my LED's on the Card turned ON( Red in my case) except the first port, which will turn green when u connect your PRI or loopback connector.

some other commands:

modprobe tor2
ztcfg -vv

Pls Note: I haven't tested my card using live PRI connection. I am waiting for a PRI at a new location.

genzaptelconf does not work

genzaptelconf does not work on a T1 card. That does look close for US PRI.

you will need to hand write it in /etc/zaptel.conf:

loadzone=us
defaultzone=us

#T400 port 1 [slot:4 bus:6 span: 1]**
span=1,0,0,esf,b8zs
bchan=1-23
dchan=24

comment out any unused ports with #

reply: genzaptelconf does not work

cat /etc/zaptel.conf
# Autogenerated by /usr/sbin/genzaptelconf -- do not hand edit
# Zaptel Configuration File
#
# This file is parsed by the Zaptel Configurator, ztcfg
#

# It must be in the module loading order

# Span 1: Tor2/0/1 "Tormenta 2 (PCI) Quad T1 Card 0 Span 1"
span=1,1,1,esf,b8zs
# termtype: te
bchan=1-23
dchan=24

# Span 2: Tor2/0/2 "Tormenta 2 (PCI) Quad T1 Card 0 Span 2"
span=2,2,1,esf,b8zs
# termtype: te
bchan=25-47
dchan=48

# Span 3: Tor2/0/3 "Tormenta 2 (PCI) Quad T1 Card 0 Span 3"
span=3,3,1,esf,b8zs
# termtype: te
bchan=49-71
dchan=72

# Span 4: Tor2/0/4 "Tormenta 2 (PCI) Quad T1 Card 0 Span 4"
span=4,4,1,esf,b8zs
# termtype: te
bchan=73-95
dchan=96

# Global data

loadzone = us
defaultzone = us

all this autogenerated using genzaptelconf command..
thanks for the unused port suggestion. will do that ASAP.

genzaptelconf will create

genzaptelconf will create some output, but it is not going to correctly populate all the correct parameters, you still need to do some hand editing.
span=1,1,1,esf,b8zs is wrong, read through the asteriskguru link.
