I'm not going to diss my current provider quite yet - but am having awful problems at the moment with availability, ie incoming numbers that don't even reach TB half the time!

So who in the UK here reccomends their SIP provider?

Alternative to your provider

Free UK DID Inbound (including london) Sign up for free and register a number (yes for free)..
www.orbtalk.co.uk

Good Outbound rates:
www.voipcheap.com (not .co.uk)
Add 10 euro's get a few months free calls to UK landlines (at 300 minutes per week after that 1 cent a minute). When you to up your account you can call for free again and your call free period extends another few months..
Works for me , i do not have any issues with calls coming in or out..

Good Luck

VoipCheap.com

We use VoipTalk.org for inbound and VoipCleap.com for outbound.

I havnt had major problems with either apart from VoipCheap.com suddenly started charging us for allot of our outbound calls because apparently we are going over their fair usage policy.

I'm now looking for another well priced outbound Sip provider to "load balance" over...

I'm also looking for a DDI and "attractive" number provider. At the moment we have been overlaying 0870 numbers onto "local" numbers. But 0870 are becoming unattractive to our customers.. I am however sensitive about the provider, they need to be EXTREMELY reliable, we are a long term company who expect to promote and retain a number for 5+ years (37 years in business so far).

Any suggestions.....

UK Did / Trunk recommendations

For business use, I use and recommend SIP / IAX2 DID's and trunks from gradwell.net. Their rates are competitive, you can pay by monthly direct debit and their technical support is very good and responds quickly. I have good experiences with their incoming DID lines using SIP and their outgoing trunk using IAX2. Both work extremely well and I have not had any problems with call quality.

I have also used sipgate extensively for incoming DID and Voipcheap for outgoing calls. Both work OK, I have not tried to get support from sipgate but voipcheap failed to respond to a query.
