Voip provider on the eastern coast
what did you mean by "vitelity giving you hell". I'm tired of paying VoicePulse $11/DID and $11/channel and was thinking of switching to Vitelity. So far, I haven't found any problem, so I was wodering what kind of problems you've had with them.
Thank you in advance,
Martha Amer
Look just like vitelity's rates!! I'm going to try them out right now.
Are they in any way compared to Sun Rocket? I do not want to run into issues with them going out of business, as SunRocket did and left one of my inherited clients phoneless for a month an a half.
Thanks A LOT!
I will post results
try VOIPJet for Outgoing.
realllllllly low rates.
They say for callcenter or enterprise only; but theyre not serious.
Just put 30 bucks in your account and use East.Voipjet.com as your server.
Sound quality is fantastic.
Im on Verizon Fios and my ping time to them from the server is under 5ms.
Theyre no frills. They will do your outgoing only. Pass your CID for you. No E911. CHEAP!
Wow
They have no outages though? I remember when I first started using trixbox I signed up with them to try, I dont remember why I didnt use them- but I keep getting emails from them about how theyre changing their hostnames, and how a provider of theres messed up and everyone is affected and there is downtime, etc.
Glad to hear that someone is on my side!
Aretta is not too bad. It's almost like Vitelity, also if you live near me around Brooklyn, you can finally get a 718 DID in two seconds.
Problem is, they resell Level3 and we need to pick betweek ELS and LS DIDs.
ELS gives enhanced 911, more verity of DIDs (plenty of 718s- on one condition which ill explain shortly), you can set the outbound CID name (unlike vitelity who I had to fight for 4 months about it until they finally told me that it isnt possible), Incoming Caller ID with Name, and 411.
LS- whatever DIDs are available (718s are currently not available in LS but you can port into either LS or ELS, 50 cent difference per month, but I'm sure sometime next week they'll pick up some more DIDs. It keeps on going "on and off"), and you get Incoming Caller ID with Name
To get a 718 DID, you need to give them a Staten Island address (I use DMV- 141 East Service Road. Staten Island NY 10314) and then later on submit a trouble ticket to change the e911 address to something else in your area.
Regarding porting over your numbers, you need to pay $15 per number, and theres no discounts like Vitelity has.
Tech Support is not really responsive but if I call in, someone usually picks up (99% of the time I called)- I had to rush them to activate and verify my account and a few other stuff)- but this is something I need to get used to. I have no other choice- but it doesnt bother me too much because I dont really have issues. Usually I would just submit a ticket to update DID info, or whatever the case is.
They dont integrate with eFax but you can get a DID and use FreePBX's fax to email. That's what I currently use, with no issues. I did not need to install hylafax or any of those stuff. It works just like that.
You can get unlimited sub accounts with them
There's currently a slight DTMF issue and a "hangup" issue with incoming calls that should be fixed at the end of next week latest.
Thats basically all I can think of now. NO STATIC! Thats the most important part!
If you want to chat about this over the phone, PM me with a phone number. Tonight I am up until 12:30AM
Yes
This is used if you have multiple servers and want the same account to be used with it. Both for DIDs and outgoing calls.
Vitelity had a feature that if one server is unavailable, it would send the DID to another sub account. Unfortunately Aretta doesn't seem to have that at this time.
A lot of their features actually can be submitted for activation via a trouble ticket. I think failover with subaccounts can be set up if you tell them what to do in the trouble ticket. I dont have all the stuff on my head now that you can request but I'm just letting you know.
-Every other call comes in as an unknown call (on the other party's caller ID)
-when I don't set a outbound cid on the aretta website, but I set one with freepbx, there are dtmf issues like crazy. Wierdest thing you'll ever see
-there was never such a problem until I realized it this past weekened
