Walmart hangs up on me.

I have about 4 installs using Dell SC440s and Rhino Ceros systems (all with rhino 4 or 8 port FXO boards), all running TB2.4 or TB2.4.2 reporting the following issue.

More often than would leave me to believe its just disconnected lines, the walmart pharmacy IVR will hang up on calls coming from these systems. Disabling busydetect=yes in zapata.conf eliminates the issue. So it would appear that something in the walmart pharmacy IVR is making zap think it hears a busy signal (i do not hear one in the IVR).

Does anyone have suggestions on busydetect settings that might be more selective in what zap thinks is a busy signal? I have gone so far as to set busycount=8 and busypattern=500,500.

Thanks much

It is most likely timing out

It is most likely timing out and the WalMart pharmacy has not 'answered'. When you call places like American Airlines the send the auto attendant message as early media, and if you don't get a 200 OK in SIP within 60 seconds on most SIP devices, that SIP device will time out and cancel the call.

Does it happen after a certain amount of time? What phone model is being used?

all conventional ZAP lines

Thanks for the reply,

Phones are Polycom 501s
All telephone lines at the customers are ZAP lines on Rhino analog boards.
All calls are outbound to the Wal-Mart Pharmacy (these are doctors offices)
Call hangs up as you are navigating the wal-mart IVR.
I have not been able to hear a pattern or find a certain period of time on the IVR. Seems random, but only happens with the Wal-mart ivr.

This is a pharmacy in Frankfort KY

Lets all not overwhelm the pharmacy with calls. 502-875-4020

The issue seems to be the worst when the only busydetect setting is busydetect=yes.

Thanks

Ok I tested it

I looked for the normal things that cause your symptoms and did not find any issues. Normal as in early media issues along with answer timeouts, etc.

Sorry :(

I'm pretty much sure its busydetect

The issue goes away if you disable busydetect. I have upgraded all of the cards involved to the beta 114 Rhino firmware to improve hangup detection, but I still get some lines that won't hangup if busydetect is not disabled. Thanks for looking.
