Whoever has a very hard time to config Zoom 5801 to work with Trixbox. Don't worry, just follow my screen shot. Then you will have it work perfectly with Trixbox.

On this screen shot. I made it VoIP to PSTN and PSTN to VoIP. If you want to use it as your home phone you have to twig it a little bit. Then you will have your home phone seamless integrate with VoIP.

Zoom 5801 sound quality is way better than Sipura 3000. It can be register multiple account. Also cheaper than Sipura 3000

I used it as an FXO port in my office and ATA box in my home.

Thank You !!!

So nice to share this with us.... Thinking of getting a similar box, wanted to make sure it would work with *..... Spent 72 hours trying to figure out how to configure the SPA3102 with my * box, was not ready to spend the same amount of time on this one.....
Zoom is for sure going to make a little more money cause of you ;-)
Are you happy with the 5801 ?

Zoom 5801 screen shot

I have Spa-3000 Spa-2000 long long time. All are working fine no problem. Only thing I found is when Spa register time expire will take a little bit time to re-register. During that time the Spa will be come unavailable to make or receive call. Some time need to pull power out and plug back in again. Also Spa is using 5V electronic transformer but the box is very hot. Zoom 5801 is my first time to try it because of the price cheaper using codec g729 and ilbc and use 12V transformer. I think that may be better than Spa-3000. Then I desire to try it. Take me 2 days to figure out how to make it work.

Finally, it work and very surprise me. Sofa since I have it up. I never reboot it yet. Also it can be setup as one stage Trunk VoIP-to-PSTN or PSTN-to-VoIP. Multiple account. I setup the first account to my asterisk dial everything through asterisk except local area code go out through land line and second account I have free Stanaphone account on it. Then this Zoom become my second line. Every time I dial local or long distance. I don't have to worry it will use Stanaphone out but go through asterisk instead.

Sam,

Looks like your screen shots are not available!
I've got the telephone port working so I can call, but the FXO port to the pstn is not.
I've followed the instructions to enable forwarding, but no luck!!
any advice?

?

5801 and trixbox

So do you have the screenshots for the trixbox side ?
I assume you just set up a trunk that points to 5801, but would want to see how it is setup.

I have all this done on the 5801 and it worked for a day or so, but now I can make calls out the FXO but can't get calls to come in via the FXO. The 5801 reset after a powerdown and now it will not work.

Zoom tech support is not that responsive ...

Zoom 5801[

I also, can not connect to your site, SAM. Can you email us the screenshots?
fetrevisan@gmail.com, if possible.

I´ve implemented a Zoom 5801, to work as a FXO.
When the calls come in, The PSTN to VOIP bridge is ON, I configured the HOTLine to dial 7777.
So the PSTN goes into Asterisk and hear the menus as any extension would if dialed 7777.
The problem here is that the caller ID forwarded to asterisk is always the extension number assigned to the unit.

Can you please provide me with the link to the screenshot of your Zoom5801 configurations for PSTN-to-Voip bridging? I'm having the same problem.

Thanks in advnace.
