Caller ID across IAX trunk

I just found out something interesting:

SIP trunk =====>>>>
==== IAX =====

trix a is using the freePBX caller ID lookup module. Caller ID name is populated on extension registered to trix A.

If an extension on trix A sets call forwarding to trix B acreoss the IAX trunk call forwarding is lost.

You can't set a CallerID lookup source on an IAX trunk only an inbound route.

Any help with this would be most appreciated.

Stab in the dark without any testing, but what if you set "intra company route" on the outbound route using the IAX trunk?
