We need a solution to recognize prerecorded words. We have cafe selecting system with around 300 cafes, 100 hotels and 100 billiards. Each cafe has dedicated professionnaly recorded sound files including name, address and description.
So what we need as option in our IVR - when caller selects "search by name" and speaks "cafe Jamaica" systems recognizes it.
The concerning thing is that, our language is russian. May be lumenvox solution will fit if all that needed to recognize is prerecorded?

The output of work should be dialplan context and assistance to setup necesarry libraries to our server via ssh.
Testing should be provided on provider's SIP server.

upd: this one may help

would be great if provider will built the work based on this interface

I increased budget to 300 USD (was 100), because Lumenvox solution won't work. So now it's 300 USD for royalty free solution (if it were with Lumenvox, I had to pay extra for their licensees)

You should contact Schmoozecom they do quite a bit with voice recognition and are probably the resident experts

I think....

you had better rethink your budget. What you asking for is not trivial and a budget of $1500US would probably be a start.

This is impossible with

This is impossible with Asterisk as far as an acceptable working solution goes, as LumenVox does not support the Russian language. You should find a speech engine that supports Russian, then find a commercial IVR solution that is capable of using that engine to fit your needs. You will be looking at $25k plus for the application if you do manage to find a Russian speech engine.

Sorry Asterisk couldn't work out for you because this same application that will cost $25k in the legacy world would probably set you back about 20% of that on the Asterisk platform without even factoring in the lower cost speech ports.

For future reference, PM me for quotes on speech apps using LumenVox and the Asterisk platform, as there is not only a lower development cost associated with developing these applications, there are lower speech port licensing and hardware costs.

it shouldn't be so difficult

back in 2003 I had Nokia 6310i GSM phone, which could record voice tags to phonebook and recognize them regardless of language and speaker with very acceptable accurance.
What I need now, is the same what old Nokias can do.

possible for single user a la Nokia 6310i

Your Nokia 6310i GSM phone worked reliably with voice commands prerecorded and spoken in your voice, will you be the only person using your asterisk system? Or will other russian speaking callers also issue voice commands which you expect asterisk to recognise and respond to?

it is a call centre

Please note, that words to recognize are "proper names" and asterisk have access to prerecorded files from which to recognize. (We can even consider typing their phonetics like in Ethans blog, but it's not the desired solution).

I don't believe an

I don't believe an Asterisk/LumenVox solution will work acceptably for you in Russian. Even phonetically spelling things out using the Lumenvox phonetic language (very difficult to develop with) Russian-specific inflections will not be built into the engine and will significantly reduce accuracy.

In addition, $300 is a simply unrealistic budget for such an application. You should look at a commercial IVR solution specifically built for the Russian language. I think there might be one or two.
