Digium TDM400P install in Trixbox 2.4
I have trying to install and setup a Digium TDM400P in trixbox 2.4 . but am not having any sucess, I have been having problems installing the Zaptel Drivers. after I download the drivers and try o install it using, (Tar xvfz zaptel-1.2.23.tar.gz) I get a erro message saying " cannot open: no such file or dir". can any one help
Well after installing trixbox 2.4 , I setup the extensions, and the truncks, with inbound and outgoing routes, But my trunk was not working, I kept geting all trunks are buzy, so I tried install the TDM400p card, following the installation below.
using putty I sing in to the server
and
cd /usr/src
rm -rf zaptel
wget http://ftp.digium.com/pud/zaptel/releases/zaptel-1.2.23.tar.gz
tar xvfz zaptel-1.2.23.tar.gz
at this point I get the error
Also check what type of extension you are setting up.
It should be of the type SIP not zaptel.
I made this mistake the first time around , and you get all lines are busy notice.
I have had a TDM400 since asterisk at home days, and trixbox 2.4 is the easiest to install, you don't need to download the usual hacks, to get it working.
It just works :)
exactly what do you mean by Commenting out echotraining=800, I tried putting a semicolon before it, But that did not work, then I delete the whole thing, but am still getting the same result, " all circuit are buzzy now" or I just get a buzzy signal.
I did a fresh install off 2.4 , the system recognize the card, but the problem remains.
I think you are getting answers for different problems. I think your issue at the moment is that you have not installed the TDM400 card properly. the echotraining issues come after.
run the following:
setup-pstn
genzaptelconf –s –d -v
reboot, and tell us what happens.

Ok, next can you pls provide an overview of your config, sip extensions, zap extensions TDM400 card with ? FXS and ? FXO ports etc.
also post your zapata.conf and also post the CLI output when you try to dial out
Also post your the output from Asterisk info, from one of the drop down menus in the TB.
