BLF indications over multiple sites

Does anyone know how to get BLF indications over multiple sites??

I have 2 sites with a PBX at each one.
At each site I can get BLF indications for the extension on the local site only.
However, I want to get BLF indictations on the other site too.

e.g. extension 201 on PBX at 10.0.0.2 needs to see the status of extension 301 on PBX at 10.0.1.2 and vice versa

Both PBXs are connected via a SIP trunk, but we dont seem to get the BLF messages broadcast outside of the LAN between sites.

Can anyone help??

I dont see any way that you will get that to work. The phone is communicating to the local Asterisk engine but the two machines are not communicating with each other unless a call is being routed over the trunk.

If you have a routed

If you have a routed connection, across a VPN tunnel or a T1 line let's say, you could subscribe the phone to the BLF hints on both servers. Each BLF appearance subscribes individually to the hint.

This is separate from the call identity registration.
