Hi all

We have just received a new batch of Cisco 7911 which come with the SCCP image installed on them. Version 8.3.1. However I am trying to get the phone to accept our Cisco SIP image which is 8.2.1.

Can somebody please explain how to do this as currently the method we are using doesn't seem to work.

Thanks
Ryan

Ryan, Did you manage to

Ryan,

Did you manage to solve this problem? We are having the same challenge and really need to find a solution. If you have managed to resolve it, please could you tell me how you did it.

Kindest regards,

Try this

Hi

The best way i find is to use a seperate tftp server, we use tftp32. Once you get this software, create a folder on youir desktop, load all the firmware files to this folder along with the following:
SEPMacAdd.cnf.xml
Dialplan.xml
Ringlist.xml

Then you should be fine. I have found that if your SEP.cnf.xml file is wrong then you will definitely have problems, but an easy way to create a good one is by using the endpoint manager and selecting the 7941 option.
