This details how I went from V3 to V8.6 http://cat24.net/Cisco_Sip_Phones.html It may not be the only way but it has always worked for me.
SCOTT AND JOHN - thanks a lot for your help !!!!! i succeed to upgrade it from SCCP -> SIPv3.0 -> SIPv6.3 ->SIPv8.x ........... the upgrade to 8.x was only for testing , we are now using 6.3 meantime.................... now i got another small issue with the logo :( , i configure the SIPDefault to send the logo URL , and its seems like the phone got it because when i press SETTING and goes to XML URLs i can see the correct url path in "Logo URL" ( http://192.168.109.100/logo/logo.bmp ) . the phone is not displaying the logo for some reason . i can open this address and get the logo with my PC/firefox using the same URL, i also follow the guidelines and make this bmp 90x56 pixels and save it as grayscale .... any idea ?
