Hello,
Recently upgraded a company from an old Panasonic system to trixbox 2.6.0.7 with Sangoma A200D 4 PSTN trunks and 18 Aastra 9133i extensions. So far so good, but their old system had a feature which they were quite fond of, which worked in the following manner:

1. Tom picks up any phone, presses the "All Page" button, and says "Bill, 43" which is broadcast as one-way audio to all the other phone's speakers plus the overhead paging horns.

2. Tom then waits, without hanging up, until Bill goes to the nearest phone and dials 43. Tom and Bill are now connected together and all the other phones and paging horns are disconnected.

The new system has the overhead paging horns connected to the sound card. I have set up a Paging Group (ext 100) in FreePBX which includes these and some of the Aastra phones and it works as expected for normal paging. This is at a large manufacturing/warehouse facility with the phones spread out throughout the building, and not all users are tied to a specific phone.

Anyone have a way of implementing this in Asterisk? I am quite proficient with Linux, but haven't delved very deeply into writing custom dialplans or AGI scripts. Or if somebody has a method of achieving the same functionality with what is already provided with trixbox, let yourself be heard! Currently they are doing it this way:

1. Tom picks up at ext 206, presses the "All Page" button which is a speeddial for 100, says "Bill, call 206" and hangs up.

2. Tom then waits until Bill goes to the nearest phone and calls him at 206.

I know this is pretty close, and works, but they aren't quite satisfied with doing it that way and would be really happy if it worked just like the old system.

Thanks,
Jonas
