can't get line with 3com

hi
i have 3com us robotics internal fax modem. as i found in asterisk system information:
- Communication controller: 3Com Corp, Modem Division USR 56k Internal WinModem

i created trunk.

but when i try to dial out side number using my line i hear a message telling me that hardware is busy. try later.

what is tha problem?.

not going to work, asterisk needs a fxo / fxs card not standard modem, well yes a voice modem, but not any voice modem

CHEAP is x100p get the real deal if possible the clones are really junk..

better is TDM400p
