Legacy PBX
hi, is it possible to use a Legacy PBX's trunk line from our pstn provider to trixbox using a Digium TDM410P? will i be able to use the trunk's maximum channels? say, when an outbound calls comes in to this trunk and then it gets transferred to an extension, that trunk line should be available again right?, and so on.. coz, i was thinking of subscribing for a trunk line if it's known to work with analog cards like Digium and trixbox.
Uh - if you have a call coming across the PSTN, it uses a channel and the channel remains in use as long as the is active. It doesn't matter if you transfer to it an extension on the system or not.
If you need multiple simultaneous call capacity, you'd need to look at buying a line or lines with multiple simultaneous call capacity. The Digium TE410p you mention has 4 x T1 / E1s. Assuming you use PRI, that would be 4 x 23 = 94 channels of simultaneous call capacity.
Asterisk / TB supports basically any kind of interconnection you can throw at it.

sorry i thought josh mentioned another card, i didn't thought he was pertaining to the card i am using now, so it is possible then to subscribe for a "PRI line?" is that correct? and use one of the four ports in my TDM410P, then that port or line, can handle multiple inbound calls?
Sure, ordering procedures are different depending on where you are. In the US a T1 ISDN PRI (This is how it is ordered) is between $350.00 and $1200.00 a month.
With a good Internet connection you could get a SIP trunk and not require any interlace card for multiple calls.
