MV-370 GSM Gateway

I have an MV-370 GSM Gateway which is configured correctly for outgoing calls, however i am having trouble configuring incoming calls. I think the problem is with my trixbox setup.

The MV-370 is setup as SIP device 210 (and trixbox has a trunk of 210), but when i tell it to forward all mobile calls to 210 trixbox does not pickup (i'm guessing that it's due to a missing incoming route?). If i change the MV-370 setup to forward all mobile calls to extn 501 it works just fine (subject to me changing the context in the trunk from "from-trunk" to "from-internal").

How can i get the incoming GSM calls to go to a ring group rather than a specific extension?

Any help with this gratefully recieved.

I have a working Setup

Hi,
I have one of these & it took me a while to find a working config.

Set up a sip trunk as follows

Trunk Name: GSM
PEER Details:
allow=ulaw&alaw
canreinvite=no
context=from-internal
disallow=all
dtmfmode=rfc2833
fromuser=gsmgateway
host=
insecure=very
nat=no
qualify=yes
secret=
type=friend
username=gsmgateway

USER Context: gsmgateway
USER Details:
allow=ulaw&alaw
context=from-internal
disallow=all
fromuser=gsmgateway
host=dynamic
insecure=very
nat=no
pedantic=no
qualify=yes
secret=
type=friend
username=gsmgateway

Set up the gateway to register with the User= gsmgateway & password= whatever you used instead of

under the incoming mobile section enter an extension or ring group number, or set up as miscellaneous application in trixbox, give it a feature code & use that.

Hope this helps

Josh

I just received my MV-370

I just received my MV-370 unit and am having troubles getting it setup. I have the trunk setup and have the MV-370 setup. The trunk shows good and the 370 shows that it's on the wireless network. When I call the number associated with the sim it goes straight to voicemail. If I call an extension associated with the 370 it gives me a busy every time. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, I'm willing to pay someone a reasonable amount to get this working.

Thanks,

Andy

MC-370 GSM gateway setup

I tried the setup details popsted by Josh and they work very well (thanks Josh!).

So if your trunk is setup the same way then the problem must lay either in the MV-370 setup or in the endpoint definition (i have a generic SIP endpiont defined and my setup works, but nobody has said whether the endpoint definition was strictly neccessary or not).

I have my MV-370 set to hit a ring group and that works fine - post your MV-370 setup details if you've still not cracked it.

MV-372

Hi,

Sorry I'm kinda new to this sort of thing. I just received a MV-372 and installed a couple of sim cards.

I want to use it to forward calls from an inbound SIP trunk to my mobile, preferably like another extension.

E.g. An inbound sip call goes to a ring group that calls extension 501, 502, 503, where extension 501 is my normal sip desk phone, and 502 & 503 are actually cell phones through the MV-372.
Is this possible to do? Is this the right way to achieve this?

Do I have to configure the MV-372 as an SIP extension or a SIP trunk (or both)?

Any help would be appreciated.

MV-372

Hi,

Using Josh's instructions, I now have inbound calling working to an extension.

I also added an outbound route, however when I try and use it my desk phone says, "ringing" for about 1 sec then goes straight to "call ended".

My trixbox 2.4.2 configuration is as follows.

Trunks>
Trunk Name: GSM
Peer Details:
allow=ulaw&alaw
canreinvite=no
context=from-internal
disallow=all
dtmfmode=rfc2833
fromuser=gsmgateway
host=192.168.1.60
insecure=very
nat=no
qualify=yes
secret=12345
type=friend
username=gsmgateway

USER CONTEXT: gsmgateway
USER DETAILS:
allow=ulaw&alaw
context=from-internal
disallow=all
fromuser=gsmgateway
host=dynamic
insecure=very
nat=no
pedantic=no
qualify=yes
secret=12345
type=friend
username=gsmgateway

Outbound Routes>
Route Name: GSM1
Dial Plan: 1|.
Trunk Sequence: 0: SIP/GSM

My MV-372 is configured as follows:

Mobile 1>
Realm1
Active: on
User Name: gsmgateway
Register Name: gsmgateway
Password:12345
Proxy Server: 192.168.1.50
Status: Registered

Lan to Mobile Settings>
Item: 0
Url: 192.168.1.50
Call number: #

As above my trixbox ip is 192.168.1.50 and MV-372 IP is 192.168.1.60.

Any help in getting the outbound calling would be appreciated.

After changing Lan to

After changing

Lan to Mobile Settings>
Item: 0
Url: 192.168.1.50
Call number: #

to

Lan to Mobile Settings>
Item: 0
Url: *
Call number: #

It works. Though I'm not sure why it wont work with the specified IP as it is the correct ip for my trixbox.
