TrixBox Dead-Locks with TE420B
Help! We're installing TrixBox 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5PAE (SMP) (however the same issue existed on several other versions (2.2, 2.4). We have a Quad T1 PCI-X adapter installed (Digium TE420B) with a VPMOCT128 (The 128 channel Octasic Echo Cancellation daughter board). We have only two of the 4 PRI T1's currently enabled, the other two ports are for future expansion.
When we run the system with the echo can board in place, it dead locks with no error messages (at least none that I can find in any logs) within an hour, and usually more like 10 minutes...occasionally on the FIRST CALL! If I remove the echo can board, the system runs for days. So far, we've only tested with about a dozen people, so, I can't really tell if the echo can board is going to be needed or not for voice quality.
Has anyone else had any issues like this? I'm running a similar configuration in another office, 3 of the T1's there are in use, with about 40 users, and have had no issues at all. The system I'm working with here is a SuperMicro based system (PDSME+ MoBo). The one in the "working" office is a SuperMicro PDSMA+. Here, I have an Intel QuadCore processor, in the PDSMA+ office, I have a Dual Core (not Core2Duo) Intel processor. Other than that, the two machines are essentially similar (same brand/size SATA drives, Optical, RAM, etc).
Thanks for any insight you can offer in regards to this frustrating circumstance!
Thanks!
David
