Two IAX2 connected TB systems External Calling
Hey,
I have two TB systems properly connected for internal calling.
TB A has a Zap card and can be successfully used from TB A extensions.
TB B does not have a Zap card. I would like to be able to setup TB B to dial out of TB A's Zap card.
I tried adding "context=from-internal" but it seems to do nothing as both systems treat the calls as if they are originating from an external source. I cant seem to figure out what could be the issue. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Ok so the only way I was able to solve the problem was have two seperate trunks setup.
One trunk for from-pstn and one for from-internal
Credit goes to

I don't have one I can test right now but as far as I remember all you have to do is to set outbound routes in TB B the same as TB A and ext at B should dial out through TB A ZAP channel automatically. Have done this on a couple of different boxes and it worked. Try it, let me know.

Thanks for the reply, I understood that part as TB A can redirect DID's to TB B but TB B can not dial out of TB A. The issue I had was that the trunks would remain at context=from-pstn rather then accept the context=from-internal.
I am not sure what is wrong with the trunk settings but the only way I was able to set it up to work was to have two trunks, one as from pstn and one from internal.
I don't completely understand the dialog in the message however I do think you are making this too complicated.
On Box B build an IAX trunk to box A. In the dial plan for the outbound route on box b simply add the outbound route dial code and you will be off to the races.
