Vitelity problems
Of course, I have found Vitelity's setup instructions to be poor at best. I set up both an inbound trunk, and an outbound trunk, but could get neither to work. So, I deleted all my trunks, and created just one, using Vitelity's instructions for an inbound trunk. I can get incoming calls, and make outgoing calls no problem on just the one trunkj.......but this doesn't give me the full 4 channels I'm supposed to get..only two.
Does anyone have an settings that will allow me to set up BOTH trunks so I can take advanatge of all 4 channels..............or would increasing max channels to 4 for the inbound trunk do the trick.
Well the Vitelity setup works fine for 1,000's of TB users, so you need to look at YOUR setup
If you just go to the support page and follow the guide to the letter it works, so if you are having issues you need to go back and double check yourself and then if you stillhave issues then post your config / network setup plus logs.
It does not help to start out trashing their documentation. I used it and it worked great for me. Next time just post that you need help. The folks at Vitelity have always been very helpful for us.
Now, how are you determining that it is not working? We need a little more information.
Here is an outbound setting that works:
Username is your username, secret is your password and fromuser is your username.
username=xxx
type=peer
trustrpid=yes
sendrpid=yes
secret=xxx
host=outbound1.vitelity.net
fromuser=xxx
disallow=all
context=from-trunk
canreinvite=no
allow=ulaw
These go in your outbound settings. Make sure there is nothing in the inbound settings and nothing in the register string. Also, give the trunk a name like: vitel-outbound
Firewall: Make sure UDP 5060 & 5061 and RTP 10000-20000 are open.
Here are the inbound settings:
Create a new sip trunk called vitel-inbound. Put this in the Trunk Name as well.
Paste this into Peer Details:
username=xxx
type=peer
secret=xxx
insecure=very
host=inbound4.vitelity.net
disallow=all
context=from-trunk
canreinvite=no
allow=ulaw&gsm
Put nothing in incoming settings.
Put this in Register:
xxx:xxx@inbound4.vitelity.net:5060
Set both trunks to 4 channels so you can use the maximum on each.
Cheers!
