All

I'm trying to install HUD Pro on my MacBook at home to check out some of the functionality over the Lite system. However the app won't install to my drive as it claims I don't have the 1.5 JVM. Which, as I understand it, is included on the base 10.5 system...

Strange?

Right you are

Here's a copy of the instructions in case people find this thread first.

In order to install HUD Pro under OS X 10.5.x 'Leopard':

1. Make sure you have the NEWEST version of java. Download; install.
2. Download Hudlite
3. Double click on the DMG file to mount to your computer
4. Open the new disk image with the hudlite installer and copy the installer somewhere to your harddrive (because the disk image is write-only)
5. Open Terminal.app
6. Navigate to the directory with the installer PKG file
7. cd hud-lite-1.1.160.pkg/
8. cd contents
9. vi Info.plist
10. scroll down to the section where it says Message Key -- this is the section where the installer sets conditions that must be fulfilled for the install to work. We want to delete all conditions.
11. Delete everything between and so that all you have left is and separated by a new line. You can delete in VI by typing "d" twice
12. type ESCAPE then "wq!" to write the file and quit.
13. type "exit" and double click on the PKG install file. It should work now.
