Hi,

I have tried 2 rebuild / reactivations of this server and both times the HUD seems to fail to install.

I have looked at the advice on http://www.trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-pro/hudlite-hud-pro-trixbox... but we don't even have a /usr/local/fonality directory.

The server is trixbox108926.

Is there anyway I can trigger a manual install of HUD server?

Thanks

Jordan

Jordan,

I would recommend a re-install. Not having the fonality directory could be an indicator of other things not installed properly. Did you run mediacheck on your disk?

Thanks,
Mike

I did a reinstall and reactivation on server 106413 today (actually Brian W did it remotely), used a checked 2.0.0 install disk, and I don't see a /usr/local/fonality folder either. Can someone take a look?

Working...

After doing about 4 reinstalls the fonality directory appeared and HUD is working. Not sure why it took 4 reinstalls but it's working now!

Is there another way to achieve this? I can't take this system down again and I already paid fonality support to fix a problem with this re-activation - I had a ! and # in the password and their database didn't like them (there was no mention of not using ! or # in a password - in fact it is usually recommended to strengthen a password) so they had to go in and reset the password for the server in their database for the activation to work properly. The Fonality tech even completed the activation for me so you might figure he would have noticed that it didn't fully activate/install. Now they want me to pay again to fix this issue because it is a problem not related to the activation ticket. In my opinion these should be items that are addressed by a QA team, not by paid support. Both of these things should just work out of the box. In my estimation they are related as well.
