Unable to log in any local client to HUD
Dear All,
I have tried to connect the clients to HUD, however it didnt manage to work.
i checked with the forum topics, and found an open thread with possible solutions:

1. I cannot get *any* local HUD clients to connect.
However, still iam unable to connect any client, any help will be greatly appreciated
the server name and password are correct.
the user name and password are correct too.
please advise.

Please answer the following questions:
1. Have you ever been able to connect a HUD Client to your trixbox?
2. What version of trixbox are you using? (Pro SE, EE, CCE)
3. What version of HUD do you have? (HUD lite, HUD Pro Agent, Team, etc)
4. Are you attempting to connect remotely, or from the same network as the trixbox?
5. If you telnet to port 6600 on your trixbox, is your connection refused?
Lastly, what is your server number? If i have your server number I can check to see if the HUD Server is installed and running properly.

1. No, i never managed to connect a HUD client to this server.
2. I am using trixbox Pro SE.
3. I am using HUD lite.
4. Iam on the same network as trixbox.
5. I did: telnet serverIP 6600 connection times out, then connection to host lost.

I investigated your trixbox and found that the HUDlite server binary had never been renamed from its placeholder name, and thus never started.
I renamed the HUDlite server binary to the proper name and the system started the service. Your HUDlite clients should now be able to connect.

I am experiencing the same symptoms described by Jaffa. I follwed the steps described by renttec to check services, etc and verified it wasn't a username case sensitive issue.
Everything would appear to be good, but no connection to Hud.
The details:
This is a new install. We hope to cut over shortly.
trixbox Pro SE, Hud lite, same network as trixbox, no client has ever connected.
The telnet test is unsuccessful, both from inside the firewall and outside.
My server is 116412.
Unrelated: Moving to the 2.2.x.x or 3.x.x.x Polycom load anytime soon? Just curious.
