Polycom + 3 Digit Extensions + Autosend?

Hey Guys,

I am deploying Trixbox Pro CCE and Polycom SP IP501s at my company and I have been playing with the system with an expectation to cut over to it within the next week or two. We currently use 3 digit extensions on our current PBX and do not want to renumber everyones extension (Business cards, etc). But when I dial a 3 digit extension on the polycom, it waits, and waits, and waits. The only way I can get it to dial is by appending a # onto the number, this could get annoying for some users.

Is there anyway to change the dial plan on the polycoms so that it will auto send with a 3 digit extension? Also, can I make this reflect in auto-provisioning so that I do not rip my hair out manually provisioning every phone for this?

Thanks,
Jamie

dial plan string

you will need to replace dial plan string in sip.conf:
This one will autodial with 3 digit number
[2-9]11|0T|100|101|011xxx.T|9011xxx.T|1[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|91[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|9[2-9]xxxxxx|*xx|[8]xxx|[2-7]xx

Overwritten?

Will this be overwritten by the web interface every time I make a change?

no, only

no, it should not be overwritten by the web GUI, only when you run command setup-polycom in case you change IP address of the server

The web and phone menu

The web and phone menu changes override any settings built in to any other config file. So if you do change any global file, be aware the phone overrides will take priority.
