Call Pickup on Trixbox Pro SE with Sipura SPA-2000

I have a very stable Trixbox Pro installation mainly consisting of Polycom IP 501s. I have a portable phone using a Sipura SPA-2000. My goal is to be able to pick up extensions ringing extensions via the phone attached to the SPA-2000 via *8.
My dial plan specifically includes *x. The phone functions as expected in all other regards.
Any ideas?
