catastrophic meltdown of TB server 114610
We had a catastrophic meltdown of server 114610 yesterday. WTH!! - I thought tb pro was supposed to be easy to rebuild??. i tried to rebuild our server which again due to the SATA CD rom drive would not allow the install to pass on an HP DX2300.
I get as far as the following:
Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel
crc error
kernel panic - not syncing: VFS : unable to mount root FS on unknown - block (8,3)
I have since switched to our previous machine (HP Compaq) which used to house our office TB CE 2.2 on it. I can get to the activation part of the PRO install but when I attempt to "activate" I get the bad username and password.
I can log in to cp.trixbox.com with my username and password (which indicate my offline server), but cannot activate my new server. what is wrong?
Any help would be appreciated before I give up on PRO and stick with CE - which has worked every time instead of the troubles I have had with PRO.
cheers,
Jason
DNS on the box seems to resolve fine. this machine is configured (as far a routes and firewall settings that worked on the other machine) the problem is I cannot login to Fonality to get my settings pushed back!! bad username and password. it seems more like an issue with my server profile at cp.trixbox.com
If your password has tricky characters, it may be that the fetch that auth's your username and password is having difficulty doing a URIEncode (%^&$'"?) to in the authentication request. I would be happy to reset your password to something generic if you'd like.
This is something that we know can cause a problem upon re-activate. As such, we have restricted the password field in the web panel from allowing you to set a destructive password in the next version of trixbox Pro.
1. Do you have a password with URI characters?
2. Would you like me to reset your password and PM it to you?
Thanks,
Mike
I warned the boss about using those damned $$$$$'s but, no one listens to me ;)
if you could please reset password and email me @ jason@sns-it.ca (preferred) or by PM with what it has been reset to, that would be great. I'll change it as soon as I hear from you
you help is much appreciated.
cheers,
Jason.
